Maple-Glazed Walnuts


  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups walnuts


  1. In an iron skillet or saucepan, stir together syrup, cinnamon, butter, and salt. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture becomes brown and starts to thicken.
  2. Add vanilla, then nuts, and toss until the nuts are covered evenly with the glaze.
  3. Quickly spread and cool on wax paper.
